Let's Talk Eyelashes!
Trust me, once you start enhancing your lashes, it’s hard to go back. They’re like the cherry on top of your routine, effortlessly elevating your look. Most days I don't even wear makeup, as long as I have my lashes I feel good and ready to go! So here are some tips and tricks for applying and removing lashes!
Why I Switched to Clusters
I used to love getting my lashes done professionally; however, it quickly became an expensive habit. Plus, finding time in my busy schedule for regular appointments was becoming increasingly difficult. That’s when I discovered cluster lashes. They’re my go-to now! Cluster lashes are so versatile and can easily be applied at home. Not only do they look amazing, but they also save time and money in the long run. Trust me, once you try them, there’s no turning back! My lashes typically last 7-14 days and here's how I do it!
How to Apply
Applying cluster lashes is much simpler than it seems! Here’s a quick guide to help you out:
Step 1: Start with clean, dry lashes.
Step 2: Apply glue to the base of your lashes, this is a case where less is more, and if you comb the glue all the way through they will become sticky, and pull your lashes and make them uncomfortable to wear.
Step 3: Use a pair of tweezers to pick up a cluster lash. I prefer the angled tweezers to help me get the lashes in the right place.
Step 4: Gently place it along your natural lash line, making sure you leave a slight gap so it doesn't irritate your eye, lift your eyelid gently to give yourself a clear view of your lash line for correct placement. Repeat until you achieve your desired fullness.
Step 5: Apply a sealant. (This usually comes duo sided with your glue) Again, don't comb all the way through your lashes, keep it towards the base otherwise your lashes will become stiff!
It's that simple! Just remember to give your lashes a little time to dry, and try not to get them wet for the first 24 hours.
Tips and Tricks
Here are some tricks I've learned along the way! When applying Clusters, I like to slightly overlap the layers so there aren't any awkward gaps. If I get too much glue on my lashes I like to use a spoolie to remove the excess, especially if I get the glue on the ends of my lashes. For a fuller look, you can apply glue to the base of a cluster, and apply it over the first layer of lashes you applied.
How to Remove Clusters
When it's time to remove them, I recommend a gentle eye makeup remover and finish it off in the shower with an oil-based cleanser. It'll help dissolve the adhesive without tugging at your natural lashes. Trust me, your lashes will thank you!
In conclusion, there’s no excuse to skip out on that lash love! With a bit of practice, you can easily master the art of applying your lashes at home, saving you both time and money. So, let’s embrace those fabulous lashes and enjoy the confidence they bring!
